Thanks for the quick response Brittany.  I'm sure that will make a lot of folks happy!

As for the camera glass... Are there any options for that?  Anything in the works?

There seem to be a lot of videos on Youtube of people solving this problem by rubbing toothpaste on the scratched camera lens glass with a Q-tip and then wiping off with a microfiber cloth.  I suppose if your lens is so scratched that the camera can't focus, you have nothing to lose by trying this technique.

I have three Z Force phones in my family.  We do not have screen protectors and have had our phones since November 2016.  Not a scratch on them.  I'm supprised Mine isn't scratched.  It is always in my back pocket and I have done my fare share of sitting on concrete floors.  Glad to see Moto has replacements for a reasonable price though.

Just edited this reply a day later...  Replacing carpet with laminate floor.  I dropped my phone face down onto the old carpet tack strip.  Now I have two marks in my shattershield.  If it were glass, it sure would have cracked.

Thanks for shattershield Moto!

I am on my second Z force.  Straight from the box to the OtterBox defender (again) and a week later it looked like I took sandpaper to it.

I sure did.  On my second phone, both, straight from the box to the OtterBox with screen protector and a week later , scratches on my screen, yet none on the protector.  It's definitely ridiculous.  Now it's gotten an update and my SD card is "corrupt" yet works fine in my dad's phone which is the same model, Moto Z force.  And it works in the laptop's SD reader.... And... Location is now always wrong in every app except Google Maps.

I have had my phone for months now. No screen protector at all. I work in highway construction as well.. Not one scratch.. Strange how some have issues. Must be something. Sand, pocket debris or placing it in a really bad surface like sand paper.

I've never had an OtterBox but my wife has, and her Galaxy S3 always had sand between the protector and the screen. I was always concerned about the longevity of her screen. I don't think I would ever use one of those on my Z (it needs to be adhered to the screen to keep sand and grit out completely or it feels like a risk to me).

My SD card went corrupt after the latest update (the Feb security update). I was able to connect it to my PC and run an Error Check on it and fix the problem(s) without wiping it clean. It now seems to work fine in my phone. It's a drag, sure, but it might be recoverable.

Location problems sound like battery-saving mode is limiting access to your GPS for any app other than GMaps. I remember seeing an option where you can limit location services to save battery. If you have any battery-saver apps, don't forget to check those for similar options.

Re: Moto Z Force scratched screens

I tripped and fell while hiking yesterday and scratched the screen of my Moto Z Force and now I cannot log into my password protected phone because the numbers 1, 2 and 3 no longer work when I press them. I did remove the ShatterShield protector hoping that it would fix the issue, but it didn't.

Any suggestions on how to get the keypad working again? Thank you for your help.
