Moto z bluetooth

2016-11-08, 6:55 AM

When I go into setting to turn on my Bluetooth the switch flips over like it is going to turn on then it switches right back over to off. I have tried resetting my network connection and hard resetting/factory resetting my phone with no luck. I am not able to connect to my car, my fit bit, or head phones now.

If you have tried a reset without installing any apps, and the problem persists, then service/repair/replace is the next step

Should I be going through Verizon to get a replacement or Motorola?

Your choice, but with Verizon, they usually will cross ship a device without any fees. Moto may charge a fee to get one expedited. I would go the Verizon route first if it were me.

My Bluetooth to my car worked great until the last update. Now my phone cannot detect nor can other phones find my phone with Bluetooth. I'm not comfortable talking on my phone without having it connected and it all started with the update! Is it possible to roll back the update? I miss my hands free calling!!!

There is no way to roll back an update. Test in safe mode, and if necesssary a reset without installing or restoring any apps. If neither fixes the problem, service/replace is required.

Here are some great troubleshooting videos that cover safe mode, cache clear, and factory reset. Try these suggestions and let us know

I've already tried wiping cache and safe mode. Made no difference. If I'm going to have to reset my whole system, I'd just as well get a replacement phone.  Thanks...

I have the same issue. Got a new phone from Verizon and it came with marshmallow. Now it works. But i have the annoying update request every time I unlock the phone, but my Bluetooth is working!

Re: Moto z bluetooth in-car

Have exactly the same problem. Just been issued with new Moto Z in work and while it sees other bluetooth devices, it will not see my car bluetooth. My previuos Moto G works fine as do other phones in the car. Have tried a factory reset, all updates and clearing bluetooth cache to no avail. I know a few other guys in the office have the same problem.

I have the same problem. Phone was working fine until the 2nd update rolled out. I've tried my car, headset and speaker and all have the same issue. Bluetooth connects perfectly fine to play music, but when I call out that's the problem. I can't hear the other person but they can hear me. I've tried other phones and they worked fine. I exchanged for a new phone as I was still within the 14 day period. Phone worked fine again, but didn't know the update caused all this. So updated the phone and the same problem occured. I've tried factory reset, safe mode, hard reset, cleared the system cache and still no luck.
