Motorola Z Force Bluetooth Issues with Moto 360

I have been searching for hours and it seems the Oreo/Android 8.0 update screwed up the bluetooth connections on the Moto Z Force.  I can't get it to pair with my Moto 360 watch, which paired fine with the cheap Moto E5 Cruise.  I had just purchased the Moto Z used from someone and other than the bluetooth issue it works fine.

 

Is there going to be an update for the Z Force that addresses and fixes this problem?  Otherwise I am sending the phone back and going back to Samsung

Hi jliverman77,

 

Thanks for posting. I'd like to help. Have you previously paired your phone to your watch? If so, try unpairing them from the Setting > Bluetooth. If the steps didn't work please try resetting the network settings (Settings > Reset > Reset Network Setting), by doing this, it will reset your WiFi and Bluetooth connections so you will have to re-establish the connection you had previously paired with. I would also suggest resetting your Moto 360 (Settings > Reset) if the previous steps didn't help. Let me know. Thanks.

Hi. The watch was previously paired with a Moto E5 Cruise. I reset the watch and tried time pair with the Moto Z Force. The phone will not see it. I had already done all of solutions you recommended. Seems to be the similar problems others are having with the Z Force running 8.0.

Thanks for confirming. Have you tried connecting you Z phone to other Bluetooth devices and see if it will detect it. I think it's one better way to isolate the concern. Let me know. Thanks.
