I also found an app today called Prof Reminder. If you set the sequence of notifications to Delay 0s. it plays your set tone at full volume when you receive a SMS or MMS. So far its Free not a trial and working with Nougat. Also nice to have the remind feature when your to busy or constantly side tracked to look at a text. I've only had this phone for 3 days now and was so close to taking it back today after realizing this volume bug. So disappointed in how this isnt being handled....

I'm a little worried that the Prof reminder (I found it as Missed Call Reminder) app might mess with some of the Moto action screen notifications with all of the stuff that it does.  Are you using it along with all of the Moto display settings turned on and does it mess up those at all?  Any other quirks with the phone after installing and using the app?

So far the Disable Increasing Ring app is working fine for me.  It does give me the warning that the app had stopped every once in awhile, but I just restart it when I see that and all is fine.  Still haven't paid for it yet though.  If this Missed Call Reminder works well, it may be a good or better alternative.

Yes its running with everything else turned on. I basicly left the phone settings alone after installing this app. I have the app set to only remind on SMS and MMS notifications. So far everything is running smoothly. I will post an update after using it for a few days.

Megasound I found in the play store. Go into the settings in the app and set default notification sound or can set a different sound for each app on your phone.

I found that ever since the nougat update on my Z force the earpiece speaker is very staticy. Especially when the phone is ringing but also while the other person is talking. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes I have also noticed it. You would think for $700+ it should sound like the person is right in front of you.
