Thanks for the suggestions. They are definitely appreciated and helpful!

Now we can all just wait till moto steps up to the plate, puts their big boy pants on, and accepts the fact that they DO have have a software glitch that needs remedied and fixes it!

Sorry for the long delay in responding. We do appreciate your feedback. Many factors go into these settings, and we'll share your input with the team.

Please do not PM me - if you have issues, search the forums for threads on your topic and post there, or start a new thread. Thanks!

Thanks for responding. Hopefully this can be resolved with the next security update, and hopefully that's not too far off in the distance.

Thanks for pushing this issue up to the team. That's the only positive response or acknowledgement I've received from anyone, and I have called everyone!

Love the phone other than this.

Matt, that is great that you will share with this the team.  However, it is a significant problem and needs to be fixed.  Any idea of how long this could take?

My husband and I both have the Z Force and the same thing has happened to us as well.  After the update the phones became hard to hear.  Since we are new to these phones we thought it was us and we couldn't find the right setting. Glad to see it isn't.

When will it be fixed? We are missing important information daily!

I am having the same problem with my Moto Z Play.  I can't hear notifications which makes my phone pretty much useless.

Re: Quiet notifications moto z

Just purchased a Moto Z Play Droid Edition and the low notification sound issue is present. The ringer does ascend in volume after a couple of seconds but I don't think it's "part of the software" as is being said. My reasoning for that is that when you first tap on the ringtone you want and it's quiet for those few seconds and then tap on a ringtone again there's no delay in that second time or thereafter. However, if you wait a few seconds, it does revert to having a delay.

The big issue here is the constant low volume when it comes to notifications. Forget about hearing it if there's even a moderate amount of noise around you. Highly disappointed that this is an issue.

Yes I have noticed exactly what you are talking about with the ring tones... Definitely a screw up along with the notification volume.

Pretty pathetic really, how can this not be caught during soak tests or any testing for that matter.

I have a dreaded feeling there will be nothing done to correct this issue soon, as I have read that Android N is rumored to be coming to these phones over the next month or 2. I'm sure that's where all motos attention is. I really hope they issue a patch update prior to that but I'm not holding my breath. Especially with the kind of feedback we're receiving from Moto.... Ohhhhh that's right, there's been none. The tech line even said they don't have a problem.

PATIENTLY waiting....
