Re: Quiet notifications moto z

I have not been able to get Macrodoid or Missed Notification apps working properly on my phone.  I've tried multiple times.  Disable Increasing Ring app is working perfectly for me though.  Notification ringtone is nice and loud. Just make sure to go into the app menu and "Grant Permission" if you try it.  As reported elsewhere by someone else that I can't remember, it does stop working occasionally and I have to restart it.  It only seems to do it once every few days so far.  I've had it about a week now and I'm happy with the results.  I understand that it is a paid app after the trial period so I'll have to pony up pretty soon.  I'm sure it's only a dollar or two so I'm OK with that.  We shouldn't have to use any app to make the phone work properly, let alone a paid app, but it's better than nothing.  At least it works for me.  YMMV.

Well there you go then. That's me proven completely and utterly wrong! At least we now know. I won't hold my breath for a fix for it though. Well done tlucent for finally getting an official answer.

WELL DONE Tlucent !!!!...

Finally, some official response...and as suspected many posts ago it's some namby pamby corporate fob-off in case someone sues Moto for getting a loud earfull of notification.

Explains the lack of interest from Mods.... "Maybe" it will be fixed. Severely doubt it. Superb phone totally wasted by this flaw.

Expect a deluge of them on ebay after this revelation.... better get in there quick before the price plummets !!!

Thanks Tlucent!  At least they got back to someone with a response.  I think it's funny that it's the Brazil team that had to respond.  I still think that it may have been a "feature" added with the security update for the ringtone, but I really doubt that they tried to make the notification ringtone so quiet.  I think that probably happened on accident and they just haven't gotten around to fixing it while still keeping the escalating ringtone.  I ceratinly do believe the statement that they "might" get around to fixing it.  Hopefully they will, but I'm not holding my breath.  Come on Lenovorola. What a bunch of dopes.

And all of this just because they decided to pinch a few pennies and only put one speaker on this stupid FLAGSHIP phone that we are all stuck with now. It would have been a little easier to swallow if the phone was in the $200 to $300 range. But when you buy top-of-the-line product you expect more, including better customer service. I hope the one thing that we have all learned from this experience is to NEVER EVER buy Motorola products again!!!!!!!

CarteFamily,

That's exactly what it does.  My ringtone for notifications is perfectly loud now with Disable Increasing Ring app running.  Iv'e tried other apps to no avail, but this one solves the quiet notification ringtone pdroblem perfectly.

I have found that using the Lightflow app allows you to change the notifcations to use the Media audio stream which gets around the problem of the quiet notifications.

The app also allows you to change the notification sounds for each application and also custom vibration patterns as an added bonus.

I tried the light flow works pretty well. Gives me a cool echo effect. lol. I use the old school DROID notification sound . So actually sounds pretty cool with echo. I like it better than megasound .
