I just install NCLS25.86.11.4 and everything went pretty smooth , actually took less then the expected 10min. I have made numerous phone calls to people that previously sounded like cramp w/ alot of staticy hiss to the phone call & now they sound normal again. So apparently Verizon has included some other small fixes with this update/security patch.

Glad to hear that. I would have really hated to have bad phone call quality. So far, we haven't had that problem with our phone. And now that you mention that, I think I am going to skip whatever this small update is, lest I am cursed somehow with another problem that I cannot undo for 4 months. I will just wait for the update that actually matters.

P.S. : Do I get a reward for being the 600th post on this thread, or does that come on the 1000th?

Hello everyone,

I wanted to set some expectations. The update that started rolling out today for the Moto Z/Z Force Droid is just a security update. It does not include the notification fixes previously mentioned by Matt. Either Matt or I will update you all when we have more information.

Please tell me my unlocked Moto Z that I have linked to AT@T will get a timely security update. I've said it in other posts, but it's actually important in my view... but I'm stuck with the July 2016 update on my Moto Z. And no Nougat yet.

It not only appears to be very quiet with the initial alert, but then there are no subsequent alerts in case the original was missed.  Is this something that will be addressed as well?

There never has been a subsequent alert after the first one, so don't expect that to be changed. That's what the Moto app does with the notification icon that shows up on the screen. There are apps that will give you continuing alerts until you clear it. I've never used one so I can't comment on how well they work.

Don't  know which email program you use, but mine has subsequent notifications in the settings area. None, one, etc. Doesn't correct the volume issue we have all been discussing.

After the update that fix the notification volume problem, when i unlock the device with the fingerprint i can see an abrupt animation at the top of the screen (something like a flicker effect)

Do you or Matt know when the fix will be available? I recently purchased this phone and have a limited time to decide to exchange for a phone that will provide me with audible notifications.

Yeah... Me too. We've got until 1/14/2017 for a Verizon exchange.
