Re: Quiet notifications moto z

I would tend to say the same thing. Although the few problems this phone have are quite annoying, I would still consider them "minor" annoyances compared to some of the major problems that other phones have. I've learned to live with the notification thing the staticky phone calls are much more annoying to me personally. But that being said this is still a phenomenal phone. It is extremely fast and smooth, I never even have to force close an app because it's not responding. And I love the "almost pure" Google Experience that you get on these phones. My Z Force runs circles around everyone else's phones I know. I almost switched to a Galaxy 7 during my 14 day trial period also but I'm kind of glad now that I didn't. Hopefully the next generation of these phones we'll have to separate speakers, 1 for the earpiece and the other for media. I honestly believe that would have eliminated all of these problems. But hopefully a "fix" is coming soon and hopefully it won't create more problems then it does good. Moto/Lenovo/Verizon just need to do a much better job of handling these type of issues...This whole thing should never have gotten this blown out of proportion. They should have stepped in a long time ago! If manufacturers can push out updates that will render your phone USELESS like the Note 7, then surely to goodness they can fix a small issue like this much quicker.

I also own the V20. It has its own issues that to me are more of an issue. Bad GPS and Bluetooth cuts out while playing music. Sits in my drawer waiting for an update now.... The Z blows it away except for the notification issue that at least I know there is a fix coming for it unlike my V20..

What's up Eagle? I get what you're saying. Two questions for you....Where do you get your info from about a fix update? (You're a forum moderator)

And secondly....Are Moto techs aware of the massive amount of static on phone calls.... during the ringing and in a person's voice? (Wrong forum I know) but we're on a roll here.

I get the same information as everyone. Matt the forum manager stated here that there was a fix coming and Tom from the forum mangement has stated that the latest security update did not contain the fix. So I'm waiting like everyone else here. We do bring all issues up to management. What happens from there is not shared with us. But they are listening and watching the forum.

We just got the z force for my husband. I have installed all available updates and tried numerous ringtones. They all have the issue with not being loud enough and/or delay of sound.

i even installed some really loud tones from zedge, they do the same thing.

Welcome to the " low notifications tone club."

You could probably exchange the phone untill 1/14/2017 at no charge and then don't install any updates....Or....

Wait for the so called"fix'

Do we know if this is a Moto Z problem or a Android 7.0 + Nougat problem?

I like the "welcome to the low notifications tone club."

We certainly are a part of a club, for sure, with an expensive membership fee, considering the price of our phones.  But the fun and comraderi that we enjoy here is sure well worth the membership. Happy New Year.

There are work arounds, not ideal and have their issues.I never miss a message on this phone, notifications are plenty loud enough if you can stand the ramifications of the work around, just be strong and hang on in there, once it's fixed we will all be back into Moto heaven..
