NightcoteRaven

So this static wasn't an issue in marshmallow that's what your saying?

Answer: My original Z-Force that I purchased on August 12th had very poor call Quality and static. It was around the 1st of September that I did the first security update which also fixed the poor call quality issues. My phone was okay until the new Nougat 7.0 update and the static and poor call Quality returned. It's not as bad with HD calling turned off but it is still there. But it's very bad when HD calling is turned on. I had the people at Verizon update my phone to my local Towers and this did not do anything for the problem. I definitely think this static issue is software-related and should be fixable. My speakers audio actually sounds fairly good when playing music, a lot of my friends say my phone sounds better than theirs does and that's without the JBL mod. So I know it's not Hardware related.

Hi Matt I am having the exact same issue with the Moto Z. I am in Canada and just got the Moto Z and even though the ringer volume is set to high hardly no sound is coming out of device when I get emails, text, whatzup ect. Is Moto/Lenova creating a solution or a software patch for this problem. At this point this phone is unusable and useless for me. If a fix isn't created soonthere good be ground for a class action lawsuit. I love the phone but I cant use it like this. Based on the 69 pages on the form it seems like you guys have a major problem on your hands. Tell me your team is aware of a problem and working on it or I will demand my provider take this device back. Let me know!!

Just had a notification and was whisper quiet, only heard it because the TV was off, if I wasn't up to my neck in mods this phone would be going in the bin, get your act together lenovo your a disgrace to the mobile phone industry..

Interesting that when the "fix" was announced, the mods were all over this thread and now they've gone back on ignore.

I made that exact same point at the time. They ignored us for months, yet were all over this thread as soon as a fix was announced. Where were they when we were all in the dark?

Alright that's a relief to know then. Hopefully if a fix does come it fixes the speaker static along with the phone call static at the same time.

Can we please get an official statement from Motorola on this? Like how Samsung handled the Note 7 issues and heeded a warning on their official website? Okay, sure, the phones aren't a danger to people. But I feel like this notification issue isn't being taken as seriously as it should be. Imagine (in the unlikely event) that your wife or husband is having an emergency and the only way they could contact you in that moment is text message? And you miss it?

I'd like an official apology an explanation of why this is happening from Motorola in the near future.
