Well, it's still not working for me. After I reboot my phone the sounds work for awhile, then they go quiet again.

Do you own a Z Force? And if so what build are you on?

We are now heading into April almost three months since you said this would be fixed.  I use hearing aids and still can't hear with the volume all the way up.  I have been told the retailers cannot fix this issue so it comes from you.  Any insight will be very helpful.

I agree, that is exactly why I went from my Samsung Galaxy note 5 to this phone, I was having to charge so often. At least on my Samsung I could hear my notifications.

Ok, sounds like this has been going on for almost a year.  I just got a new Moto. Z to replace my old razor and I have found that my new phone has this problem with no real solution.  Time frame can not be soon, it has been a long time already.  Does soon mean in the next 5 years? Just asking.  I am a retired IT professional and I know my boss would have been on the war path.

Re: Quiet notifications moto z

I have had the Moto Z Force since August, 2016 which replaced the Motorola Droid Maxx. I immediately noticed the lower maximum volume of the notifications and went to the Verizon Wireless store. No one there would admit to me that the volume was lower, though this was obvious when comparing it to other Motorola phones in the store, and nobody acknowledged that this was a known issue with this phone.

There have been at least two major system updates since 8/16, and I am not sure if either of these fixed the problem, but my notifications are now back to normal volume.

While I realize that the carrier does a rolling distribution of updates to customers, my phone now shows the following Phone Status information:
Configuration version:  l15.MOT.XT1650.0

Build Number NCLS25.86-11-4-6-5
