Re: Quiet notifications moto z

So it's now April and there still hasn't been a fix for this. I updated my phone again in the last week with no progress on this. My Z Force won't even go a day without this issue. What's worse is that it's more than just ringtones for me, it's all of my notifications, most importantly my alarms won't sound putting me at risk of not waking up in time.

I want to love this phone so much, and want to have enough faith in the series to get the next gen when it comes out. But if it's going to take **bleep** near a year for a MAJOR issue like this to be resolved, or longer, I won't ever buy a Motorola again, plain and simple

I have to agree, I wish they could get this fixed. I went from a Samsung Galaxy note 5 and it's just crazy. I don't think I will ever buy another Droid because of this experience.

I thought the low notification sound issue was resolved. Did the problem arise again? I'm still on July 2016 Security update.

Some people have reported that as of build NCLS25.86-11-4-6 the issue has been resolved, I call bull. I'm on NCLS25.86-11-4-6-8

Last night I went to check the speaker again with the device help app and it was working, go to sleep and wake up this morning: absolutely nothing. It's ridiculous. I'm going to Verizon tomorrow in hopes they'll swap my Z Force for a new one, though that's not likely as I have dropped this one and there's chips in the body

Either that or we just got bad phones.

Ever since the fix was released my Notification sounds are very loud, sometimes too loud.  Still have the escalating sound (low to high volume) on calls and alarms, but no sound issues with notifications.

Yeah, that's how it is. Lenovo/Motorola apprently has no plans on removing that feature. Which is fine with me, but at least let me have a choice to turn it off... For alarms it makes no sense... That is an option in the settings, but it's forced on us as well... It's a mess, that more than likely will never be resolved to better the phones, and give people what they want. These may be the last phones I'll ever get from Lenovo/Motorola, and they have some of the best batteries in the mobile buisness, but the hardware is very much lacking for the price points they ask for.

It is May, 2017 and I still have this problem. When was the"soon" to be, of which you speak? My alarms may or may not go off. It doesn't matter whether I check it the night before because it may or may not sound even if it did then. It also doesn't matter whether I'm using the stock alarm or another app. Sometimes the sound will start back up during one of the snoozes. I went out and got a physical alarm clock after I was late for work one time. I don't like to reset the time for other days, though, so I just missed church. This is an essential feature of phones today and I can't believe there is still no solution.
