I never had that option.  it didn't do it when I had marshmallow, so it was not an issue. But when I got the update, it was quite a problem, and there was no way to turn it off hence the entire purpose of this thread.

Mine has worked fine for over 2 weeks now since I turned off battery optimization for anything with sound notifications. I almost gave up on this phone because of this. Other than this glitch, it's a great phone. Sadly, I went to the Verizon store and they never heard of this problem...I had a hard time believing that lol. I love the battery life on this phone but, Lenovo needs to get the glitches worked out.

It worked this morning for all alarms, now that I took off the battery optimization for all clock apps. Yippee!!!! I'll update if that changes but I was pleased with this morning!

So sad. Update NCL25.86-11.4 just pushed and still have this problem.  This problem is still marked as SOLVED and it is not even with the latest update.

The update that fixed this issue went out a long time ago. If you are still having issues and have tried a reset without backup or any 3rd party apps installed then you might need to get it repaired.

I went and got a new phone, that didn't help. The only thing that has helped was to disable battery optimization on any app that has notification sounds.
