Speakerphone issue

2016-08-03, 0:58 AM

When I make a phone call and switch to use the speaker, it takes a few seconds before any sound comes through the speaker. Is this by design?

Escalating ringtone is separate -- it's on any Moto phone with a front-facing speaker as a hearing protection measure.

The delay in switching to speakerphone will be reduced in a future software update. There's always a delay, but in the Z it's currently a bit longer than usual.

Good question. I am looking at this too. If I can get an answer I'll share it.

I have the exact same issue of the speakerphone taking a few seconds before you can hear anything at all.  This happens whether I am making the call or answering an incoming call.  Will there be any fixes for this issue?

I have the same issue.  I wonder if this bug is also cuasing the excalating ring or no ring for a few seconds when a call comes in (I made a seaprate post on that).

thanks,

Mike

I think the time it takes toescalate up to hear the ringer is longer on the Moto Z than it was on the turbo or turbo 2.  If the turbos had it, I really did not notice it.  With the Z, at time i belevie I get two vibes before I hear the ring,

I have heard that this app will help people that don't like the escalating ringtone. Give it a try and see if it helps you. Hope this helps.
