Re: Wireless Casting Not Working

Still haven't heard an update on this.  I was hoping with 7.0 rolling out they'd add it but they still haven't.  This issue really hasn't been solved so much as ignored.

Any updates from the admins on B1uebird's post from November?

You don't actually think that's a solution do you??? Every phone on the market allows for screen mirroring and this"top of the line" doesn't is ridiculous! When will there be a fix otherwise returning and will be advising others to stay away from Moto.

This is unacceptable! Maybe we should revert back to using corded rotary phones and corded TV remotes too. Rediculous, but it's the equivalent. To add insult to injury I have found no explanation from Motorola, probably because there can be none. This needs to be fixed or the Moto Z Force I just bought today is going back to Verizon. I love my new phone but this is a deal breaker. I have thousands of dollars of display technology bought this year that have Miracast. I'm not buying a stupid Chromecasts, wasting HDMI poets and having to switch inputs. No way. My Turbo 2 had it and this phones software is almost identical, but for this. Android has the native capacity to Miracast. You turned it off. Why? Please, fix it.

This is one more reason to scrap the Moto Z Force Droid by Lenovo.  I knew better as soon as I saw that Motorola bailed and are not making their phones anymore.  Bad Moto!

Actually, it is a great phone.  But the lack of miracast is definitely disappointing.  You can still use Chromecast though.

I am a truck driver a Chromecast requires a secure wireless access point. So how can I utilize screen mirroring without a secure wireless access point

I am trying to find an APK or ALL the files for this software. Problem is, I am pretty sure it's intigrated. You can use an app like Activity Launcher to access the screen, but that's it. I have not been able to get it to work. When I first discovered it I did manage to get a Samsung TV to show up in the device list, but only once and nothing has been back since.

If you have a rooted device, you can edit your build.prop file and add a line of code that is SUPPOSED to get it to work. Just navigate to /system/build.prop. Open it in a text editor and look through the code until
