no service. 3rd device.

Rebooted phone. No service. Had service just fine earlier.

Tried safe mode. Tried removing SIM. Tried (Sprint) network reset dialer code. Tried airplane mode. Tried CDMA, Automatic, etc.

Nothing.

This is my 3rd Z2.

Out of the box, first brand new one's screen had a blotch of dead pixels. Sent in for warranty, since it was out of stock and couldn't exchange. That should've been it. Should've just returned it.

Second one (b stock), locked to former owner and couldn't activate.

Third (again, b stock) one worked, until now.

What are my chances of just getting a totally different device under warranty?

I mean, seriously.

Re: no service. 3rd device.

Try resetting the Network settings and then restart the phone.

Re: no service. 3rd device.

No dice.

It gets even better.

Moto phone support says "your device is out of warranty."

Sent receipt. Hoping that they confirm my ORIGINAL device was less than 1yr. old here, and that this is all pretty messed up.

Re: no service. 3rd device.

Warranty replacement on way.

Not sure how long I'll keep it, if the cell radio component is prone to suddenly failing like this.
