Re: Android P for moto Z2 play

I'm too. So let's see what happens in the next few days. But good to hear that finally something is happening again.

Re: Android P for moto Z2 play

I also have February 1 security patch.

Try checking Both updates, the one in "Security settings" , and the one in "System".

Re: Important needs in Pie update in Moto Z2 play

I think this is my last Moto Mobile because I am not going to purchase any other Moto device in future also.

Reasons:

1)Airtel Volte is not there in Moto Z2 play

Shame on Motorola for not pushing the update since sep2018 for volte option

2)software updates became very very slow.

3) No proper response from customer care  regarding issues.

4) people lost loyality towards Motorola mobiles.

Finally Take rest

You´re wasting your time on chasing Lenovo. They don´t care.

Motorola,  Approaching 1 year later, no update.  I personally am getting ready to jump ship due to the lack of kept promises.

Re: Android P for moto Z2 play

What promises?

The device has been receiving regular security updates.

Are you confusing intentions with commitments?

When I bought my phone, Lenovo didn't promise me anything concerning OS updates, Just 2 years of support/security.

Re: Android P for moto Z2 play

Security update frequency is low compared to other models in the same price segment. And to make things even worse, Lenovo are not capable to reliably roll out to the entire user base. For a not-so-inexpensive piece of technology you want timely and reliable ongoing security updates. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Re: Android P for moto Z2 play

If you buy any phone other than a Pixel with the hopes of consistent timely updates, you will be disappointed.  If regular Security Patches and all the new OS updates are very important to you, you have to go with a Google Pixel.  For me, I buy Moto phones because of the clean, near stock Android experience, with the added benefits in the Moto app, and one third of the price of a Pixel.  I know I'm not going to get all Security Patches and all the new OS updates, and I am OK with that.
