I am using Incipio Battery Wireless Mod with a Moto Z Play. When I put to charge the phone goes off. My charge is a Samsung Wireless Charger. The battery is brand New.

Hi celsospina,

Thanks for posting. That's odd. There's a lot of testings we can try, but I would intially advise to boot the phone in safemode so we can isolate some third-party apps to run.

To Enable Safe Mode
1. Press and hold the Power button until Power off comes up on the screen.
2. Touch and HOLD Power off on the screen until reboot to safe mode appears.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks.

Best regards,
Rich

Rich, thank very much for your answer.

I have tried in safe mode but the problem persists

I have tried disable "Snap charge' the cell" and the problem disapear, but sometimes I get cell warm (hot) after recharging.

Is there a firmware or something to try?

Hi celsospina,

Thanks for trying. We can't tell, but we can consider the software and the hardware as factors. Try resetting the phone without restoring apps (Settings > System > Reset > Factory Data Reset). Back up your files so you won't lose any of them. Note not to reinstall or restore your apps and files. Test if the problem persists. I would suggest leaving the phone the whole day without anything until we notice improvement.

Rich,

once again thank you.

I did what you suggested and worked in part. I left the cell like new and no apps and the problem disapeared, but by a coincidence only.

Because I have noticed the problem always occurs only when the moto mod is completeky uncharged (0%).

Hi celsospina,

Thanks for trying and for confirming. Have you tried another incipio wireless battery mod and compare if it will do the same? Let me know. Thanks.
