Re:Moto z play Droid apps close

Hi Kg27,

Thanks for all the details, we'll see what we can find out. In order for us to deep dive with this, can you please send me a bug report when you encountered this again? Providing the time and the apps that included.

To capture Bug Report:
Go to Settings ->Developer options -> Enable USB debugging > Toggle On
Enable Settings -> Developer options -> Enable Bug Report shortcut > Toggle On
Once the issue is reproduced: Go to Settings -> Developer options -> Click on take bug report or Press Power button and then choose Bug Report from the Power down menu.
Wait for some time until the bug report is collected. It takes around 3 to 4 minutes to collect the Bug Report.
Then upload the BugReport to your personal Google Drive and then share the link to the BugReport via private message.
Provide observations of what you saw happen right before the bug report was taken. Please indicate the local time when you observed the behavior.

To enable developer options:
1. Go to Settings > About phone > Build number
2. Tap Build number seven times. After the first few taps, you should see the steps counting down until you unlock the developer options. Once activated, you will see a message that reads, “You are now a developer!”
3. Go back to Settings, where you’ll find a Developer options entry in the menu

Let me know here once you have sent a bug report. Thanks.

Best regards,
Rich

Hi Kg27,

Thanks for the bug reports. I will share it with the team. You can delete them from the drive where you save them. I will let you know once I have an update. If anything comes up just let me know here. I'm available Mondays to Fridays, so I will keep an eye on this.

Additional: Can you please double check if you have your serial number correct on your Forums profile? Thanks.

Best regards,
Rich

Hi Kg27,

Thanks for your reply. I apologize if I have to delete your response since the photo attached contains private information. The new Forums community is still improving. We have to move them from the public view.

Quoting on your response:

SN is correct. How do I delete bug reports from the phone? I can't find them after I upload them. How do I turn on a notification so when you reply I get notified? I look forward to a solution as this issue is getting pretty annoying. I don't see a pattern or set of circumstances that cause the issue. Can you give me an estimated time to solution delivery? Thank you.

  1. Thanks for double checking the SN.
  2. You can delete the bug reports on your Google Drive > See Recent tab if you can't find it.
  3. There's no ETA/ETR yet but rest assured that I will update you from time to time.
  4. You should be automatically subscribed to this thread. To verify, kindly go click on your Forums user name (located on the top where you can sign in and out) > Click on My Subscriptions > If you see this topic you're already subscribed to the thread.

Let me know if you have questions. Thanks.

Best regards,
Rich
