Can anyone tell me why moto z play is not going to get latest android pie, and security patches are also stop? The hardware setup is perfectly tuned in this device. It supports every hard game like pubg and asphalt 9, so what is the reason to stop updates? Are Motorola forcing it's customer to buy new phone whithout any requirement or issue, just to enjoy new Android verson?

Normaly Android device will only get Maximum of 2-3 year Major Update and Moto Z Play was Launched in 2015.
In Motorola Z Play case ,it has already received 2 Major updates Launched on Marshmallow 6, then received Nougat 7.0 and then 7.1 and finally Oreo 8.0 so it has successful completed 3 Major update.
Im also an Z Play User, being an Motorola Z Play users its hard to accept that $340 dollor ₹25000 item doesnt getting 9.0 pie.

I hate to call you out but the Moto z play was fcc approved in 2016. It would not have launched in 2015. I bought the phone the day it was released as well. Specs wise my phone is the same as the newer in some cases better. Their is absolutely no reason this phone cannot run the lastest Android release.
