The whole Android P situation...

2019-07-19, 9:30 AM

Seriously. Waiting more than a year already. For a clean AOSP Android.

 I understand if it was a custom skin like the OneUI or whatever, but you have a clean android. Look at Nokia and their updates.

 What also pisses me off is the lack of information. Don't mark threads as solved, when you just said the average answer for retards - check the blog. Well there is nothing in the blog for how long already.

 Keep users posted at least on the development and the problems, otherwise you lose customers.

Have you read the issues that people with the Z2 Force are reporting after receiving Pie?  Are you sure you still want it?

But these are different phones. In my opinion even 8.0 is broken now, especially camera application. And I can't downgrade the phone - it does not boot after older ROM installation. So I can only hope for Android 9.0 to work better. I am sure I'd like to try it.

Is this really a Motorola probelm or a Lenovo problem?

I have not looked into who handles the various aspects of the ... partnership, but some things are great and some things are not.  My casual opinions:
Whoever is making the hardware: great.
Whoever chose this forum software and set up the layout? great
Whoever chose the "split personality" of the company? FAIL
  (Perhaps to indicate who gets credit? Branding manipulation? Public image? Blame shifting? Whatever... it is not just a      different logo on the page, but creates annoyance glitch for me when following links and having to log in multiple     times. My browser? Chrome ...sometimes portable. Pop-up blockers, site settings? I THINK I have them all disabled.
  My login info IS saved, but not automatic between Motorola and Lenovo. They don't trust each other? Maybe I should     not trust one of them...or either?   Hahahah.)

The OS software issues may be technical and difficult and conscientious techs avoiding trouble...
But I doubt thoey are the ones marking the forum topics "Solved" LOL.
I am loathe to attempt a link to my other post, as that post was rejected due to containing a link in the"Find out"
 at the end, so i will just paste it here, as it relates to website issues, but also to the whole experience with communication:
My other post:

================

"It is confusing when looking for update info to not see Motorola or Lenovo as choices for "Select where you purchased your device".  I guess I must select "other carrier/retail".  So I choose that and get THIS result:

"moto z2 play

This device will be upgraded to the Android 9 (Pie) release of Android, pending partner support.

Do you have the latest Motorola software? Find out."

...

Partner? Lenovo? Motorola?

What "Partner"?"
===========================
