Audio specs on the moto Z

2016-09-07, 21:42 PM

Hi everyone,

I was wondering about the audio specs for this really attractive moto Z.

Is anyone able to tell me what DAC is used in it?

And does the Z is able to read Hi-Res music ?

I am really interested in getting one but would love to know that before.

Thanks

Joe

Hi Joe.

  1. What DAC is used for Droid Z?--> Motorola XMCS1000
  2. Is Droid Z able to support Hi-Res Music? Yes, Droid Z / Z Force are able to support Hi-Res Music. The max sample rate supported is up to 24Bit, 192kHz

Note: Content encoded resolutions higher than dac limits is down-sampled for output.

Hope this helps!

Are you able to confirm or deny that the Z supports aptX? I know the original Moto X did, but more recent devices haven't shown up on the aptX list of supported devices, so I'm assuming not.

I'll confirm. We always do unless it's a Google Play Edition phone, like the Nexus 6.
