How to avoid New system update to NPLS25.86-17-3-1

2018-07-13, 17:34 PM

I have my Moto Z with NPL25.86-17-3  since two weeks ago, seems to work ok.

I am receiving messages for updating the Android to  NPLS25.86-17-3-1.

I wouldnt like to face battery issues, etc,  how can I stop receiving the messages for upgrading the Android or at least  postpone it for  i.e. one year?

You can postpone it, but I don't know for how long, and you have to postpone it repeatedly.

And then one day, it will download and install itself anyway.

Please understand, there is no reason to believe that you will face battery problems induced by the software udate.

If you want to pamper the battery, don't let it run dry, do not charge it, when it is hot (high CPU load), especially do not use turbo-charging and only charge it to 85% if you don't need the full capacity.

Hi Lilien,

Thanks for the post. Yes, there's no native way for us to disable the phone from receiving an update. However, the upgrade doesn't intend to create issues with the device, hence, it makes the device improve its performance and makes it work faster.

Best regards,
Rich
