How to change wifi frequency

When I go to settings, wifi, and click on advanced there is nothing to change the frequency. I want to use 2.4 GHz.

It should automatically detect APs on both 2.4ghz and 5ghz.

Re: How to change wifi frequency

The status shows it's connected to 5 GHz, I can't change it?

No, my understanding is that it picks the strongest. Unless you rename your AP to different names:

SSID_5; SSID_2.4

Re: How to change wifi frequency

Hello,

Wi-fi Frequency can't be changed on your handset, beacuse they are automatically determined from the APs itself. The mobile Wi-Fi will connect to the AP having the best signal strength only.

Apart from this you can manually configure your AP details (SSID and Password) on your mobile, so that it will connect to desired AP only and not to other ones.

Note for Frequency, you have to set your APs to support 802.11 a/b/g/n, in order to get desirable settings (frequency, coverage, speed, etc).

Hope this will solve your query.
