I've Just notice from Lenovo support, that our MOTO Z are being dismissed....
No more Security Updates? Have we, your clients, offended you somehow dear Lenovo?
It's really annoying that smaller devices such us Moto G5 plus are already migrated to Oreo 8.1 and Dec '18 Security Update.
Lenovo, what is the message to your clients? "Don't buy our flagships devices, since we will not support them properly"...
I'm a Motorola customer since I can remember...
StarTAC, T180,V300,V3i,W375,Moto EX115,Motocube,
Moto Quench, Moto G, Moto E,
Moto Atrix 2, Moto X2, Moto X Play, Moto G5plus
Moto Z (current)
And I was waiting for the natural replacement of my dear Moto Z... (Z2 ad Z3 are not up to the challenge)...
Now I'm guessing if I should not consider other brands....
Please reconsider this update policy...

Thanks for posting. I'm not seeing the Moto Z on the software upgrade schedule page on the Motorola Argentina website, may I know where did you purchase the phone? The Moto Z will remain on Android Oreo and will no longer receive security updates. We'll share upgrade plans for our products and keep everyone posted on our software upgrade news page and the Motorola blog.

Lucky you. Oreo update causes erratic battery life and constant, random crashes. Once updated, it cannot be reverted. Definitely consider other brands.

If this is true, it is a disgusting practice of complete dissrespect. A flagship phone should get 3+ years of security updates. People are keeping their phones longer now, with only the battery wearing out being a reason to get a new phone. It is a computer. Windows gets updates for over 5 years..
When my Z2 Force stops getting security updates, i plan on continuing to use it until it no longer functions.

Shame on you (Motorola), the Samsung S7 released half a year before the Moto Z got the Google security update 03/2019 and this will be not be the last update!
