I'm having the same issue. I charged my phone all night and in just over an hour of having it unplugged I'm at 71% with approx 4 hours left. Seriously? It's only been like this for the last couple of days and I haven't installed any new apps or anything. It's frustrating as hell. I hope this isn't a ploy to get me to buy the battery mod.

Well my phone goes 100->90% in just 30minutes with less than one minute of SOT. after 6hrs and less than 1h sot battery is less than 30% (sometimes les sthan 20%).
This should be an example how phone system shall not work.

Maybe we shall talk to google to revert android certification? I think Moto Z being certified is hurting cheap phone companies who don't have such issues.

So here you go kiddies...This should make the issue perfectly clear.

New Moto Z arrived Monday. Backed up files etc from the Old Z, transferred to new phone and set everything up as before. Fully charged both the onboard and Incipio batteries.

60 hrs later, doing all my normal stuff, the onboard battery is @ 80% and Incipio was sitting at 20%.

Yup, that's right, the batteries now last as long as they always did. And guess what else? My bluetooth now works again!!

How has this happened you ask? I'm running 7.0!! The phone alerted me to the available 7.1.1 update ,but I refused it.

I will not get the update till I see this issue has been corrected. Best of luck to all of us!!

I'm having a similar issue. Down from 100% to 90% in 15minutes. I took this screen shot right after unplugging my phone. Seriously?

When will you publish a solution? The phone is NOT usable in daily life. I have it now since 2 days. Even my iPhone4 was better.

Use a battery mod if you have. Mine runs fine at least until the mod running out of its battery. It usually give me half a day.

After mod runs out of battery, it only runs for a couple of hours.

I'm not defending this crappy expeeience. its just the way I use this phone, hoping lenovo will fix it before everyone hates the company.

If you do not have a batery mod, I'll recommend to invest that dollars for another phone from another company.

Same problems here. Battery just dies. I could be at 50% and then it powers off and screen shows 0%. So I'm not alone here. It's an update issue?

Often charging reduces battery lifetime - quite important for somebody who wants to keep phone longer. Lenovo in this case seems to ensure steady flow of (after warranty) battery replacement services for their centers...

If everyone could just take a moment and READ the posts, you will all understand that these problems are the result of the 7.1.1 update... Get a new phone!
