Even though my battery was really bad before the update, it's even worse now. I can barely make it to 1 pm from unplugging at 8 am. This is the first non-rooted phone I've had, and stock android makes it impossible to track down what is draining your battery, as they group all system processes into the "Android System" and "Android OS" categories. I don't know what else to do, it sure is annoying to have to charge my phone 3 times per day. Today, for instance, I unplugged at about 8:40 am and I'm already down to 70% by 10 am.

Guys, if you haven't yet, would you please update your profile with the IMEI number of your phone? Is it okay if we look into your apps? This will help us investigate. Make sure that your Motorola Privacy is enabled. I am monitoring this and sending reports to our product team.

I have updated profile as requested
Just ran my phone from 100-15 in 5 hours. Phone shut off at 15%
In that time my usage was
1 hour on screen
1.5 hours voice calls
3 hours locally saved podcast over Bluetooth
I used to get double this before the update

I noticed that my phone sometimes turned on the display by itself when it was laying on a table. Made me wonder if it does the same thing in my pocket... so I've managed to get a bit better battery life by disabling a couple of settings in the "Moto" app.
1. Actions -> Approach for Moto Display -> Off
2. Display -> Off

After Android 7.1.1, my Moto Z's battery is lasting less than 5 hours under light use.
Already tried to factory reset and clear app cache but the problem persists. It is impossible to use the Moto Z without the incipio powerpack.
Did someone had the same problem and managed to solve it?
