Hi Moto_JM can you please run a diagnostic on my device remotely? I am having the weirdest issue with the battery drain. There is no drain. Just an abrupt black screen shutdown of the phone and on restarting the battery goes down from some high value to a minimal sub 5% value. I have infact factory reset my phone and started all over again and even then the problem persists.

The saga continues:
You can see here, that after yesterday's 3% I put the Incipio pack on, it charged the phone up to around 50%. Later I connected the phone together with the batter pack to the supplied charger, and let it charge overnight. This morning I removed the power mod. After an hour, the phone rebooted itself.

My horrible battery life has been consistent through multiple updates and multiple Moto Z's. I think it's just the phone, there's no helping it. I'm stuck with it for another year though unfortunately.

Since my post in Sept about this battery drain, missing Wifi and/or Bluetooth it seems like everyone has been working hard to get their phones back to normal.
That is much more work than I feel is required....Reboot, reset, give us your Imei #. This is ridiculous !!
The latest update has done nothing. I dropped my first Moto ( which was fine) back in April and rec'd a replacement ( yes, I bought the warranty) for $149 and all was fine...Till the 7.1.1!! I am receiving a replacement tomorrow free of charge because of this "defect". If this happens again, I'm sellling this piece of S*%t and getting something else. I was a loyal Motorola guy since the days of the flip Razor...Not any more!!

I am getting the similar symptom. It was ok for a while after my update (the phone is less then two months old) but I am noticing that my phone only gets a few hours now. It is quite annoying as I switched to Moto Z from Moto X Syle which had very little battery life after a couple years. At least my Bluetooth and Wifi seems to work fine still. I hope this symptom gets fixed soon.
