Are you having an error after Wifi is turned on? Did you restart your router?

my router is working fine...the problem is i cant turn on wifi option on my moto z..and i got an error text below portable wifi hotspot

I have the exact same problem. After the latest update mi wifi is not working at all. Cant turn it on and hotspot says error. Ip adress says not available and Mac adress says only 0 and a 2. Did a factory reset, wipe cache, and reset network config. And nothing helped. Is moto going to do anything? Another update?

Hi All,

 

After you update your profile, you can follow steps below for basic troubleshooting steps. 

 

Here`s what you can try:

1. Perform Network settings reset. Go to Settings> Backup and Reset> Reset Network Settings.

2. Turn off Wifi scanning. You can go to Settings > Scroll down to Location > Tap 3 dots > Tap Scanning > Turn off Wifi Scanning.

3. Restart your router then manually connect your network on your device.

 

Check if after those steps you`re still having the same issue. Also, please provide the Model/Security of the router you are using.

My Moto Z is experiencing the same issues and I have also tried all the suggestions in this thread. It connect for half a second, disconnects, then re attempts with no success. It does seem that the last update messed it up. Factory resets also have not worked.

Hi. After the nougat update the bluetooth want working.

After the recent security update the wifi doesnt work at all.

It just searches and cant connect at all. This looks like a bad OTA.

Cmon Lenovo sort this out

i've sent my unit to lenovo service center and they say its a hardware issue..can you confirm this? my IMEI is already on my profile

Any news?my unit is still at service center because they dont have the right motherboard in indonesia...its been 3 week with no unit exchange...
