Files folder vs Downloads folder

2018-10-23, 3:48 AM

Good Evening!
I'm a newbie in this forum and 3 weeks on my Z3.

I was reading in the Moto G forum that the "Downloads" folder had been renamed "Files".  So, I looked on my Z3 and the same is true.

I also see that I no longer have a "File Manager".  So, what is the new name of that app?

Thx!

The new "Files" app is a one stop solution to access downloads as well as device files. Use the drawer on the left to browse various sections. You will find downloads in it. By default it shows downloads but one can easily access any files through the app.

Tony,

Sorry, but I don't see what you are referring to.

When I go to my Apps, I see Image #1, Files.

When I click the menu in Downloads, it opens #3, Files.

I do not see anywhere here where I can search, or see a view of system files and folders like I am used to seeing.

Please explain.

Thx!
