Media and notification won't work for speaker on my Motoz3

2019-09-24, 4:47 AM

As of today, my Moto z3 been going through some wacky stuff.

Let's say I just reset my phone

Before plugging in my charger or headphones:

        - Media works

        - Notification works

- Once I plug in my headphones/charger, neither media or notification would work unless I keep my headphones on.

My only "solution" for me is to reset the phone, which would only work if I don't use my headphones or charger.

Heck, if I was playing my music and decided to plug the headphones, rather than pausing the music, it'd keep going, with no sounds whatsoever.

I can hear my alarm and my phone calls, but not my media or my notification.

Can anybody here help? Thanks!

Hi DCrossman24,

Thanks for letting us know! I would suggest you take the hardware test and see if there is an issue with the hardware. Go to Menu > Moto Help > Hardware test > Full Test. Let us know the test result. And have you performed a Factory Data Reset? Please confirm.

Regards,

Suman
