Sometimes the z3 play lost the smart lock options

Hi, 

 

maybe its a Android Problem/bug but sometimes the smart lock is complete empty. I mean, when i click on Security/Smart lock and enter my password the smart lock Settings Page is empty (no menu) and the smart lock didnt work as well.

I have to turn off the trust agents (smart lock (Google)) and reboot the Device. After that turn on the trust agents again and the smart lock menu is back and working. 

 

Plz fix

Thanks for posting. Can you share us a screenshot? That's actually a work around for the options to show up again. I'll share this with my team. Please update your profile with current phone, carrier and serial number -- this will help me investigate. Please make sure that the options under Settings > Motorola Privacy are on as well.

I'll contact you if the error occurs again. Maybe the problem disappeared anyway with Android pie (if the Update arrives in the near future)

Would be cool if a mod could look today on my device; to see the failure. Didnt turn it off since friday.

I want to restart the thing, to bring smart lock works again.

Restart helps again.

I do not want to wait a week (or more) to use a device with a malfunctioning feature and no one from moto looks on it to check what's wrong. Maybe you fix it yourself and the problem does not occur after a firmware update. I just wanted to help.

 

Solution for me: Reboot the device frequently until Smart lock works again.

Hi Agent_Rich

 

I'm having this problem as well. I can not find any Google issue when I search, so could Motorola support please provide a link to the issue here so we can keep an eye on it ourselves? Which other Android devices have this problem?

 

This is a really annoying problem so I do not want to sit around and wait and would like an update from Motorola. Rebooting several times a week is NOT even a workaround, it's an emergency measure.
