Please fix this or rush the android 10 rollout to Verizon, the z4 already has it, why not the z3, this is beyond annoying.

Sorry Rich, I uninstalled the updates and disabled the Verizon security app, but the problem is still occurring.. =[

I am having same issue with this update. It is definitely a bug as I recently had to replace my old z3 and both phones were doing it. Any app can be open, messages, Sam's club, Pokemon go, chrome browser etc, and it is like home button was hit. Not using 1 button navigation. The other issue since this update, I cannot change any notification sounds from the default sound. Noticed because I was still setting up this replacement same model device, updates were coming through 2-3 a day, I was able to change my home security app to a different notification sound, but now I don't have that option, even in that app.

Mine does this as well.  Even the phone app minimizes.  I'm using one-button nav.

Hi Rich, I uninstalled the update to the (Verizon) Digital Secure app, which I think turned it into the (Verizon) Privacy and Security app which I then disabled. However, I am still having the same unwanted app minimizing behavior.

Hey everyone!!! I believe I fixed our problem!! We narrowed down that it all started when the new update came out on 3/6/2020, and we also narrowed down that it was affecting Verizon customer's only, so I checked out which Verizon apps exactly were updated that day as well, and I found that the My Verizon Services app, Verizon App Manager, and the Verizon Security and Privacy apps were all updated that day. We ruled out that the Verizon Security app was not the problem, so I then uninstalled the updates and disabled the other two apps. I went from having the problem occur every 10 minutes, to not happening in almost 3 hours now. This is the first time I've had it last longer than 30 minutes max since the update came out. Try it out and let me know if this fixes the problem for you guys! Again, the 2 apps you need to uninstall updates for and disable are: 1. Verizon App Manager, and 2. My Verizon Services. Note: I have had my z3 in this state for almost 4 hours now, and I have not noticed any changes whatsoever in terms of problems occuring from disabling these apps, so I believe it's safe to proceed with.

@Agent_Rich the most recent post by @Georgegore1990 of disabling the two apps Verizon App Manager and My Verizon Services seems to have solved the problem, no issues in the past 12hrs, where it was happening every 10-5 minutes.
