I understand but I sure wish that they did. The demand is definitely there. Oh well, right? Do you use any type of protection on yours?

Since it's the first Gorilla Glass phone I have owned in four years (had all of the Shattershield  phones) I am usually a full slim TPU case.  It pops off quick if I do want to attach a Moto Mod.  I have found that I use my Moto Mods less and less as the years go on.  But when I want to the case pops off real quick.

I thought Verizon would have sold a Z4 bumper by now, like they did for all other Z phones.  But I guess they are taking their time, or not interested?

That sounds easy. Yeah, I keep the battery on most of the time, and switch to the speaker second. My wife loves the Polaroid mod.

It sure seems that way. I have my Z3 bumper on the phones now but it's covering up the speaker. I'll try to make one until they release one.

Cutting it the speaker hole isn't too difficult is it? Maybe a drill and/or an xacto knife?

Here's the pic of my modded TPU case. Not quite as clean as I'd like, but it is nice and snug with the tape and the 360 camera fits.

Oh yours looks great! It's nice  having a bumper that is for the Z4 itself, isn't it? :)

Question about the tape though. Did it get your phone sticky or will it leave residue on the phone if you ever need to remove the bumper?

For instance, if you need to take the bumper off to remove the SD card (I have all my music on an SD card currently).

I'm thinking about taping mine. But unsure.

The tape I used does not leave a residue - if I remove the case, I just peel up the tape. Sometime I had to rub the end of the tape to get it rolling, but then it came off without any issues.

Oh! And to update about my modified bumper.....

Glueing my rubber piece to the plastic piece with some high quality, very strong glue definitely helped a ton. (Glue I used can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/Aleenes-21709-Jewelry-Metal-Glue/dp/B001680QSG/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=aileens%2Bjewelry%2Bglue&qid=1562068235&s=gateway&sprefix=aileens%2Bj&sr=8-3&th=1&psc=1). But any really strong glue and an overnight dry would work fine!

It isn't going anywhere but it's not as tight as when I squeezed on that too small Droid turbo bumper that muted my Z4's speakers/sound so much.

But then I think, when I have dropped my phone, the mod usually goes flying off too. (I always have a battery mod on). So if this bumper protects from the fall but then comes off partially is that really so bad? It's just like the mod concept I suppose?

I'm contemplating the tape route but hesitant to put it on my new shiny Z4. Maybe I'm babying it. Lol.
