Completely agree with everything you said. I just feel that I absolutely need to express my own complains as well.

I am not agains SS screen but please use it wisely. A top glass layer should be applied before sending to customer. It is a shame that the most discussed issue on this and other forums is asking for recommendations of screen protectors.

The fingerprint sensor is also too deep. The edge is sharp and scratched your finger every time. When a third party screen protector is added, the feel is even worse. Please do not make a product that generate user resent every single time when you need to use it.

I have been a MOTO fans every since Moto X 2013.  This Z2 force is making me consider other brands.  It is lousy engineering.  Lenovo please make a glass screen protector free of charge for every single Z2 force owners, or you will see a huge return rate.

BTW,  $40 MOTO E4 has better fingerprint feel that this $700+ device.

With a screen protector, you will have 6 sharp edges scratching your finger when you use the fingerprint sensor.

WHY? WHY? WHY?

Hi, is there an update to this?

My screen is now pretty badly scratched and it hasn't come into contact with anything abnormal (not even a key). I've found a fingernail can scratch it.

I'm thinking I may be better off trying to trade this thing in and get something else.

Thanks,

Adam

I recently purchased my Moto z2 force from an authorized retailer. I inquired about a protective case and screen protector. The only option I was given was a plain rubber phone case and was told I wouldn't need a screen protector as they haven't had any issues regarding scratched screens. Does this make them liable for my screen being all scratched up seems how their only phone case requires me to carry the phone in my pocket with an unprotected screen following their advice?

Here is what I have done to make this phone livable. The shattershield pretty much shattered. I pulled it off gently and rolled the adhesive off with my fingers. Then cleaned the screen under it until 100% clear. Then I put it in an otterbox defender case that has a built in plastic cover. So far so good. No scratches, no problems. The factory screen configuration blows!!! Prior to getting the otterbox, I tried a standard tempered glass screen protector and the rubber case you are referring too. It scratched even easier than the factory shattershield. Pulled it off and am liking the Otterbox defender route, although it does kinda defeat the purpose of having a phone that you use mods with.

I did the same thing, I put on a screen protector when I got the phone in August. Now I've tried to remove the screen protector to put a fresh one on and the top layer of screen lamination started to peel up with it. It's a double edged sword!

"We're working to announce a repair option in the coming weeks."  Has this been announced yet?  Also, what are your thoughts about using something like the products for auto headlight lenses to polish the phone's screen?

I just sent my phone in to Motorola for the scratched screen and they replaced it right away.  I shipped mine in on Monday morning and have the replacement in my hand on Wednesday afternoon.  No push back no trouble.  I have to say I'm very impressed with the customer service provided on this matter.  Good Job Motorola!

I have seen this issue on different forums and my question is when Moto repaired it, how was it repaired or was it just replaced. There are several phones without problems......so far and mine is only 1 year old. Yes I have a screen protector over the shatter-shield and Iam more concerened over the peeling, not the scratches. Has Moto actually changed the process to prevent peeling or is the shatter-shield simply replaced? Is it by luck all phones have not had peeling problems YET or is there a cut off at certain serial numbers which would indicate a process change. Interested to see if this question is answered, or its possible its answered and I missed it...............!
