Re: How I solved the error messages with my Moto Mods

@agent_rich I wanted to let you know that based on a suggestion in another thread, clearing the Moto Mod cache seems to help. There are some quirks regarding how the camera's on/off buttons works, but in general, I do not seem to get the error message I used to get.

Then just wait and you'll get them again.

My mod has absolutely clean contacts, as it's mounted on the phone most of the time, and parked in the mod original case.

Then I get this error from time to time. And then I can switch the camera on ten times in a row and not getting it, then it appears again.

The software is simply unstable and it looks like Moto can't find the source of the problem.

The most clear confirmation of what I wrote is amount of threads registered here or bouncing around the Internet, with the same symptoms reported. All these people have their mods contacts dirty ? Come on.

Perhaps I wasn't clear, but I was referring to me clearing the cache within the system (data), as opposed to cleaning the contacts (physical)

Ok, stupid me. Now I came back to your message and got it correctly.

Anyway, it's a little bit quiet here - no updates about my issues ?

I bet they will be fixed in Android 9 when new release of Moto Mods platform software will be released !

:-)

You're probably right -- Android 9 may fix it. As for my phone, 8.0 is the last update they'll make, so I need to upgrade my phone to get Android 9.
