Re: Where is Linux version of Motocast!?

Motorola, please wake up !

Motocast on a PC may be ok for some, but PC's shoould be turned off, when you´re not sitting in front of them.

Servers are running Linux, servers are where your media belongs.

How many thousands of users do you think have their media on a energy-efficient net-disk with some linux brand on them?

Come on - honestly - what are your software developers doing? They are certainly not busy bringing out Ice Cream Sandwich for the various Android devices! I've benn waiting forever for ICS for my Xoom. If and when it arrives, it will be outdated, Jelly Bean is already shipping on new devices!

I thougt the Google take-over would accelerate Motorolas development, not stall it!

Re: Where is Linux version of Motocast!?

Maybe the ZumoCast server  for Linux will do the trick for some of you?
Please post and let the rest of us know if you try it out and it works.

Re: Where is Linux version of Motocast!?

I went through the long and drawn out signup process purely to add another voice to the call for linux support.

Re: Where is Linux version of Motocast!?

I agree!!!! My Linux box is the only machine I'd actually want motocast running on and it's the only one that can't run it. Where's the sense in that?

Even if you're unwilling to put much money into supporting it, you could at least provide an unsupported beta and a forum for community support. I can't imagine it would be too difficult to port from the os x version.

Another vote for GNU/Linux support, specifically Ubuntu. Really hate having to use a Windows Virtual Machine. Please develop Ubuntu integration.
