Oh noooooo! I was just notified by Chrome that the motorola connect ChromeApp will be retired in November 2015!!!

Is there going to be a replacement for this great app?

Re: motorola connect to be retired????

You won't lose the extension or the ability to use it. You lose support for future updates/upgrades, etc after the cut off date as the Chrome Extension will no longer be supported within Moto Connect. wink

There are alternative apps that have the same features allowing you to manage texts from your PC such as Pushbullet. yes

Hope this helps! smiley

Re: motorola connect to be retired????

Good news. As a software developer I respect the "end-of-life" decision. I'm glad I won't lose access to this tool as long as I have my Moto X.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm with Randy. When on the desktop, I am always on MotoConnect for my SMS. MightText is not as slick. I have had delivery issues with PushBullet.

Well, i think it was a better extension but they doesn't want to improve the app and with what's app web, pushbullet they determined that is not necessary to maintain the app.

Don't get me wrong as I use the Chrome Extension all the time myself. Remember that Motorola was previously owned by Google thus the ease of incorporating the extension into Chrome. Now with Lenovo at the helm that becomes more difficult. frown
