Getting "connection error" when sending email

2010-12-19, 22:55 PM

I have attempted to send emails but get a "connection error". Oddly though I am able to recieve emails but not send. I have recheck both my in mail and out mail connections to those that my desk top use since I use Outlook and everything is fine. Anyone else have this problem and resolved it?

How about removing your account and re-adding it?  If you aren't using K-9 Mail, this might be a good time to try it.  It is free on the Market and is a full featured email app.  Hope this helps.

If the problem reoccurs after removing and re-adding your account; try repeating those steps and replacing the server name with the actual IP address.  You should be able to get that info from your IT admin or use the command prompt to ping the server name which replies with the IP address.

Hope this helps
