How to delete read pop account email messages?

by on ‎03-18-2012 10:25 AM - edited on ‎03-18-2012 10:27 AM by Administrator (1,838 Views)

Question

After adding my pop account I cannot delete or find a way to remove read messages. Any ideas?

Answer

When you are in the inbox, you would not see any trash bin for you to remove any messages.

You have to press and hold it for about 2 second before your mail is checked, selected and advanced option such as trash bin (remove mail), etc.

In the picture above, the trash bin is circled, click on it to delete your messages.

I have the Lenovo a10 android tablet. When I delete messages either by swiping them or using the bin at top of page they reappear a minute later as unread emails. I tried holding the message for a few seconds but still cannot acess the screen which allows you to delete all trash etc. I'm fairly ignorant about tablets (just in case you haven't realised already) lol. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Keith.

Has anyone come up with a suitable solution for Keith, as I have same problem. I am using Pop3 and also Outlook for laptop (windows10). Something better and faster for permanent deletion from trash can is needed. NoeljB
