I already tried to contact some one that can listen to low level developers but I never managed to reach anyone.. have you ?
I am talking about ACPI bug or errors reported by ubuntu's firmware test suite ...
There are some mistakes easy to fix.. without support from lenovo the fallback is load custom code that overide broken blob...
Well any feedback from kernel or ACPI or EFI hackers is welcome here..
Let's keep this thread model agnostic and more focussed on relationship of lenovo staff with techy people ...
But you can link to other resources , ie : For Ideapad g40 30 here is a specific thread :

I think what you are trying to do here is a good idea. I'm not certain of the level of support we will be able to provide, but I will check into this and see what we can do.

Thanks for feedback.
An other fix / workaround for g50-30 has been merged into linux kernel
Now I plan to report lenovo some bugs found in the firwmware using a linux tool...
We can start with my current model is G470 is it still supported ?
There is a bug on Temp Sensors that could be only fixed firmware side,
I have been workarounded it for years using a userland temp monitor deamon script ...
Please contact me I will provide more info : rzr (at) gna . org

Long standing problem on W530/W520
It's a combination of hardware and bios version. I have a working old version of the BIOS, but upgrades to the BIOS break this.
