The touchpad issues went away for me when I upgraded from Kubuntu 17.04 to 17.10

I don't have any driver issues, but I never did. I just had the black screen after it asked me if i wanted to try ubuntu or install it.

Hi, i've succesfully installed antergos on my Lenovo Yoga 710, everything worked fine during 5 month, but after my latest system update the touchscreen stopped working. Can anyone help me? I've been reading and researching a lot but have not found the solution. Thanks in advance

You need to use the 4.14 kernel in order to have the touchpad, you can backport it easily in ubuntu 16.4, you should do it !

I know that backporting is applying new drivers to old kernels, but how do you do it easily, could you please provide a link to a guide or something of the sort?

Rather than backporting, you can just install the new one

Good luck ! I personally prefer to have newer software and thats why I'm on arch

So, when changing BIOS to legacy, Ubuntu just works fine? Is windows still working after that change?
