Intel/ATI graphics...

2014-09-18, 18:01 PM

Good afternoon!

More than half year I try to get AMD graphics on my Lenovo IdeaPad G500A (Intel Core i5-3230M, Intel HD Graphics 4000, AMD Radeon HD 8750M) working under openSUSE 13.1 (different distributives were tried).

I need proprietary driver for OpenCL programming. But I cannot install it from amd.com site -- I allways obtain black screen.

In openSUSE forum I obtained some help (Настройка Intel/ATI графики, in Russian), and now the laptop works properly on the Intel card. But the discrete card is still non-working.

The more detailed information and logs are here.

I would be happy to install drivers from the Lenovo site but they are not there.

Please, help me to obtain the AMD card ready for GPGPU programming.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Natalia
