I have E14 Gen2 (Ryzen 7 4700U) and I never had any problem with Wifi in Linux. Mine has Intel Wifi/Bluetooth. I have been using Arch Linux, currently with 5.14 kernel. When I first installed Arch on this laptop, I believe it had kernel version 5.10 and since then, there is no issue with Wifi.

Intel Corporation Wi-Fi 6 AX200. Realtek is worse than nvidia for linux I think. I am using Kernel 5.14.2

Is there any ETA on this? It doesn't feel like it should involve a big amount of work since other ThinkPad laptops have no issues. I couldn't make it work with the bash script on this thread either. Is there some kind of escalation process?

exactly the same issue here, but in this case a with brand new Thinkpad E15 AMD Gen 2. this is on kubuntu 20.04.

since this issue can be fixed by getting grub to load custom ACPI data on boot, and a link is given to the fix in this thread, WHY has there been no fix from Lenovo for this issue yet??

could a Lenovo representative please explain?

would also like to know if there is an escalation process for this issue.

the changes to fix the acpi tables (which solves the issue) are already linked earlier in the topic. they just need to be applied and an update released.

should also point out that this is happening on a  Thinkpad E15 AMD Gen 2, which is no surprise as it's identical to the E14 except for bigger screen.

Hi,

Looking for a couple of volunteers who would like to try a test BIOS that addresses the FN key issue. The BIOS team have done an update that we believe fixes the problem but we don't have any systems in the Linux team for extra sanity checking - so would like some feedback from Linux users as an extra confirmation step before we release.

Please PM me contact details if you're willing to do this.

Thanks

Mark

I've had enough responses from folk that we're covered. I'll update once we've completed the tests.

Thanks all!

Mark

Just saying, the fix with the script does not work for me.
Manjaro 5.14 and 5.15

Installing that snap package does not work either.

So, I would be really grateful if you can fix this with next BIOS Update.
