S3 still s*cks on my machine but I got S0ix under 0.3 W/h:

ThinkPad-P14s systemd-sleep[4856]: Suspend duration: 01h 19m.
ThinkPad-P14s systemd-sleep[4856]: Discharge rate: .27837 W/h.

...

ThinkPad-P14s systemd-sleep[5138]: Suspend duration: 11h 22m.

ThinkPad-P14s systemd-sleep[5138]: Discharge rate: .29449 W/h.

...

Btw this is still on RC4+some patches/reverts.

Yeah, I mean i am not completely new to linux. But I have rather less experience how to compile a kernel etc...

I have been using linux for almost 1 year...so i know the basic stuff

In this case, there isn't any quick way to do that yourself.

If you use Fedora you could install the 5.14-rc kernel and play with that one.

Or look for the 5.13.x with S0ix backports.

Please note there isn't a guarantee to get down to 0.3 W/h in S0ix nor in S3.

Some machines are getting there some not. The reason is unknown. ( probably HW issue but who knows ).

Regarding BIOS settings everything you need to know is in this thread.

Whatever you are doing in BIOS, do NOT disable devices. Let DASH and Usb always on options off.

I would want to add, that the last part is very important for Windows users too as my consumption on Windows 10 with BIOS 1.34 lowered from 700-800mW to 500-600mW after I have realized, that my WAN was disabled and I turned it back on.

These are excellent numbers.... I am... very far away from this...

I too am away from it, currently S0ix arount 1W/h

I once(Just once) got 0.5W/h through some magic

I just compiled new kernel with https://gitlab.com/smbruce/linux-stable-s0ix/-/commit/7b7a11d6167cab8c01428268e544b70cc61a02ef

Regarding enabling/disabling devices in BIOS / OS, I am on something.

I want to keep it out of the thread for now, but there is some discussion about PM.
