Re: Thunderbolt Software and Firmware updates and Linux

Hi,

Couple of notes:

X380 Yoga has been released: https://fwupd.org/lvfs/devices/com.lenovo.ThinkPadR0STF18W.firmware

Yoga 370 has been released: https://fwupd.org/lvfs/devices/com.lenovo.ThinkPadR0HTF19W.firmware

I have an internal update on the X1C6 status and I'm just confirming I can share the details of what happened there publicly (note - there are some testing firmware images up on LVFS but I recommend waiting until testing is complete).

Thanks

Mark

Any updates as to when this [1] update will be transfered from testing to stable?

Re: Thunderbolt Software and Firmware updates and Linux

I would prefer not to write just to bump the thread but it's been 38 days since you said they're testing the X1C6 update. Any news?

Re: Thunderbolt Software and Firmware updates and Linux

Thanks for the nudge - this one had fallen off my radar. I never got an update on the X1C6, I'll chase that.

There is work ongoing for the other platforms - I'll see if they'll let me provide the planned dates for those (they don't usually but you never know...it's a new decade...)

Re: Thunderbolt Software and Firmware updates and Linux

@MarkRHPearson

I have a T470 that doesn't appear to have the Thunderbolt updates for.  Can you comment on this?  Looks like there's a December 20th release for this model for Windows.

Here's what `fwupdmgr` shows:

Re: Thunderbolt Software and Firmware updates and Linux

Hi,

Just an update that the X1C6 Thunderbolt update moved to stable. Let me know if you see any problems - there were some weird issues where some users got a message saying the update failed when it hadn't, but the team looking after it believe it is solved.

For the T470 - I'm afraid I'm still waiting for an update on when that will happen. No ETA yet :/ I'll go and chase them on this one. We should start to see the other platforms roll out in the next month as they complete their testing cycles...fingers crossed.

Re: Thunderbolt Software and Firmware updates and Linux

Update went well on X1C6. I didn't notice any error messages.

And we're back...

Move delayed but still coming
