I tried three OS on my V110-15IKB Laptop.
First: Ubuntu -> WLAN works for about 1minute after Booting, then the WLAN-Module stops working.
Second: Mint -> Same as Ubuntu.
Windows 10 Enterprise Testversion -> WLAN works.
But it is just a Windows-Testversion. I want to use Ubuntu, but the integrated WLAN-module stops working.
What is the solution?

Im having the very same or a very similar problem! After starting computer I'm able to use the internet for like 30 seconds to max 4 minutes. but usually less than a minute.
tried removing and adding Wifi network over and over again.
I tried changing the mac adress. and wasnt able to connect.
Then I changed the mac adress to its original adress and for a minute I had internet access.
when the internet is not working I try to ping many adresses. but always get "host unreachable" as the answer
Im using an Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on a Lenovo V110 15IKB

I have the same problem on the latest ThinkPad X1C 6th gen. I've tried Ubuntu 18.04, 18.10, Budgie 18.04, but they all do this: after I resume from standby, the wireless connection works for a few minutes, then dies.
ping google.com says "Name or service not known".

Sounds like wifi power management causing problems. In terminal do
sudo sed -i 's/wifi.powersave = 3/wifi.powersave = 2/' /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf
Reboot and see if it still happens, if it does post results for
lspci -nnk | grep -iA3 net
