Actually, just enabling back revisions in the standard bios settings did the trick for me. It isn't quite labeled properly. Setting it to "enabled" allows you to also overwrite the same version, even if the actual bios is different.

I am surprised that you guys were able to get Lenovo into providing an updated BIOS. Impressive.

Personally, while currently using Lenovo Yoga 2 13, I've been very frustrated with their BIOS. On a proper BIOS, the user should have the feature/flexibility to enable/disable hardware, and enable (any) modes/features for hardware.

Because not everyone uses every hardware component of the packaged laptop. And by not providing a featureful and flexible BIOS, it just results in a degraded product overall. Good example candidates for such hardware are: Fingerprint reader, SD Card slot, Webcam, Mic, Audio etc.

I was recently impressed with HP's BIOS on an average laptop, which allowed almost all of the hardware to be enabled/disabled. This really helps the user a lot, especially in the context of power savings.

On my Yoga 2 13, with the crappy Insyde BIOS, there is not really much to do. :-(

So, the next time I buy a Lenovo product, I won't go by the face value of Lenovo. Instead, will need to examine every aspect of its sofware and hardware. But unfortunately, these are things you can't judge in an hour or two.

So, a much better approach would be, to buy through a reseller, such that you can return the product within 30 days.

I wish there was a better way to tell companies that not all their moves are user-friendly. @Lenovo, if you are reading, please fix my Yoga 2 13 BIOS

I'm fully on Linux on this laptop now... Ubuntu 16.06.  The only issue I've expirienced it's that after suspending the touchpad stopped working.

I compiled the latest kernel (4.8rc) and the problem is solved.  Batery life seems comparable so far, nearly 6 hours with my usual workload.

No need to compile, you can just install kernel deb-packages that available here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds#Upstream_kernels_archive

By the way, it seems Intel released the patch for nvme driver that adds support for RAID mode http://marc.info/?l=linux-ide&m=147709610621480&w=2. Has anyone tried it yet?

Hi everyone

I,d like to share how I built my own dual boot on YOGA 900 13ISK2.

Of course I've updated my BIOS http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/Yoga-Series/yoga-900-13isk2/downloads/DS119354

Then I've followed this steps to force windows to work with AHCI configuration http://triplescomputers.com/blog/uncategorized/solution-switch-windows-10-from-raidide-to-ahci-operation

Then I changed from RAID to AHCI in bios and windows works fine.

Finally I installed Ubuntu as a normal installation and dual boot (with GRUB) works fine!

Are there any plans to release an update for the Lenovo 910? I really want to buy this laptop and use Linux on it, but I will not do so until an update is released or it is confirmed that this issue does not affect this model.

Thank you!
