Looking into it.

Is there a reason you are using slakware instead of a more common Distro like Ubuntu

it's my distro, on my pcs, x220, x260, older x1s.

 

touchpad is not detected.

I have a new X1 Carbon Gen 7 with an i7-10710u. I've been unable to get any recent Ubuntu distributions to properly work with the Intel AC9560 chipset, with one caveat.

 

If I install 19.10, and don't allow updates, the kernel 5.3.0-18-generic does work, but updating to the latest kernel in either 18.04.04 LTS or 19.10 (both get 5.3.0-40-generic) results in the same crash listed above.

 

I also noticed the trackpad didn't work with 19.04 (kernel 5.0.0). I've catalogged the problems I've found here:

Currently, I'm functional by pinning the kernel to 5.3.0-18 through `apt-mark hold` but I don't consider this a viable solution long term.
