They are saying issues that have been addressed in S222 are:
1. battery drain issue.
2. what's app disconnect when screen is blank.
3. audio distortion
4. encrypted file system block SIM registration
5. upgrade Lenovo security app

@sajithen
I heard some people with sim rejection problem on kitkat went to service centers and there the service center guys flashed back their devices to jellybean.

Other ways are manually installing jellybean yourself.. But you wont get lenovo apps and updates.
In some sites they have the links for old lenovo jellybean.. If you install that you get the apps but i am not sure about updates..

Re: Ideaphone P780 and Android 4.4 Kit Kat

Hi,

I just saw the 23mb upgrade and have updated it in hope that it resolves the various issues and problem, majorily the battery drain issues and failure of battery caliberation and all.

Lets see how it works out for the rest and overall.

But still, I would day that there should be an option given to users to roll back and go the previous version of Android of Jelly Bean as that was stable and used to give a very good battery life of 2-3 days with good use of all things and features.

Also, in the meatime, lets hope that this upgrade might bring some stability to issues being reported and discussed here for so long.

Hope for the best everyone.

Thank you Lenovo developers and technicians for listening to us as users and coming out with a quick upgrade. Hope this patch might help us. Also, it would be great, if one of you could or Mr Wang could hightlight what issues have been taken care with the upgrade package? This information will help us eventutally test them and report back to you guys.

Thanks and best regards,

Alok Singh

Note:

Also, in one of my earlier post, some developer had asked me to upload a log file, but later after 2 days the post thread was bocked and was made as read only so i could not reply. Also, the file size was 70 mb and I didnt not where and how to send it, so i couldnt.

Hi,

Yes I have checked in 3G mode only has signals are fine. Even before
updating KitKat it was working normally. After updating there was an issue
that calls were not getting connected but was resolved after 3 days of
usage when i followed some steps suggested by developer here in a previous
thread mails that was blocked later as read only where people were putting
the phone serial nos. etc.

I am not facing any issue with 3G mode and on top of that after my
yesterdays 3rd update, the 3G signal quality has improved.
