Re: P1m does not SLEEP

But how do you know that custom ROM is not infected ?

The infection may be quiet for very long time and bite you in the least expected moment for example when you will transfer big money through internet banking or something.

no, i mean the custom ROM can be created with an infection compiled-in.

Some unscrupulous developer will upload custom ROM and give on the internet to everyone to download. The performance will be perfect but one nice day will bite you at the least expected moment - for example passwords may be stolen. The infection in the custom ROM can be compiled into the core of the system and therefore may have all the privileges to the data everywhere in the phone.

I frequently monitor the running apps and only allow the apps which I use... You can be safe when you know what you are doing. No malicious apps running with the AOSP rom.. Even there was less Google apps pre installed.. ... It also includes the stock features like Mira vision, app management and app access.... I'm well satisfied with this custom rom.....
Stick with the stock rom if you expect future updates.....
Custom rom gives me full Android experience with the massive battery of this phone..

the you will never flash any custom rom with this paranoic approach :-))

The infection was named and isolated it was a certain app. AOSP roms are compiled from open source code, so the opern source code has to be infected, then there will be infected all builds based of this source code.

And i doubt that, why would someone spend hours of compiling an ROM with this when there are easier ways to infect  a tousand times more devices with for example modified games app that can be run on any devie. :-)

ok, sorry, but we wil be very happy if you moderate these threads in name of Lenovo that you also could answer questions and maybe give us hints or feedback about this issue (the reason this thread was started).

Unfortunately the only working solution, at the moment, is to completely disable Google Play services.

Solution:

Follow these steps (srikanthboorela solution from page 3):
1) Go to Settings / Apps.
2) Swipe down until you find "Google Play services" on "Downloaded" or "All" tab. Tap on it and choose "Uninstall updates" & DISABLE. Optionally uncheck "Show notifications".
3) Reboot.

If you choose only to "Uninstall updates" or to stop processes after a few reboots the CPU Awake issue will come back.

The bad news is that Google Play will not work. But you can enable Google Play services, use Google Play and disable again :)

Btw, the CPU Awake issue is in P1ma40_S025_150924_16G_ROW also. I just downgraded from P1ma40_S027_151127_16G_ROW.

I'm disappointed about Lenovo products!!!!
